Guest speaker Remi Shores (they/them) reflects on the Emmaus road story in Gospel of Luke, exploring what it means to live in a story whose ending we can not yet see. Beginning with an honest account of miscarriage and the fragile nature of hope, Remi explores the disorienting experience of not knowing what story we are living in, individually or collectively. Rather than offering certainty, this teaching invites us to trust that God meets us within the story itself, revealing meaning not through answers, but through presence. In the breaking of bread and shared life, we begin to remember what kind of story we are in.
