Hope in the Hard

In this Advent message, Leah explores what it means to practice hope when life veers off the path we thought it “should” follow. Through John the Baptist’s imprisonment and his aching question to Jesus, she names the confusion, disappointment, and discouragement we experience when the world does not match our expectations. Leah invites us to see hope not as optimism, but as a practice that takes root in reaching out and widening our perception to notice grace in unexpected places. Even in “the hard,” she reminds us, the Divine is already at work.
