We’re looking forward to welcoming a few new guest voices at Haven! Remi Shores will be joining us to share and lead our teaching time and Greg Steward II will be leading us in worship, and we’d love for you to be there for it.
Remi Shores (they/them) is an ordained Disciples pastor, currently serving as Program Director for the Proclamation Project, which resources Disciples preachers, and as the founder of Systems for Ministry, a consulting practice that helps churches build stronger operational infrastructure. They hold an MDiv from Brite Divinity School, where they were a Walker Preaching Scholar, and they bring a deep care for the craft of preaching, offering pulpit supply throughout Northern California.
Remi brings a thoughtful, grounded presence and a deep investment in how faith is lived, spoken, and embodied in real communities. This is a great Sunday to show up, invite a friend, and hear from someone engaging in faith with both depth and clarity.
Greg Steward II (he/him) serves as one of two co-pastors at Oak Life Church and has been part of leading worship in that community for over a decade.
His path into worship wasn't a typical one. With a background rooted more in hip hop (rap) and poetry than formal musical training, he stepped into worship leading simply by saying yes to an unexpected invitation. What started with learning a couple of guitar chords at a Peet's coffee shop early one morning has grown into years of leading, creating, and recently co-leading Oak Life's first worship (cover) album, alongside Jenn Luna.
His story is one of openness, curiosity, and following where the Spirit leads, even when the path doesn't quite make sense at first. We're grateful he'll be with us this Sunday and invite you to come be a part of a morning shaped by that same sense of presence and possibility.
