Jesus was not the kind of guy to assert power and privilege, though he had plenty at his disposal. Rather, he chose to embrace humility and service and called his followers to do the same. In that spirit, we at Haven seek not only to serve one another, but also to serve the practical needs of others in our community.
One way we can help meet the needs of those around us is by supporting other local non-profits who are doing important work every day through partnering with their efforts. We are grateful to work with Berkeley Food and Housing Project to provide dinners regularly for their men's shelter.
In recent months we have been serving on the 3rd Friday of each month. However, beginning in May 2019, we will switch to third Saturdays which we hope will enable more folks to participate who haven't always been able to on Friday evenings. Sign up here to help with a future dinner.
